THE GOLD OF THE SOUTHERN FIELDS: HOW CORN GROWN IN THE SOUTH INFLUENCES THE QUALITY OF RUSTARK PRODUCTS
The foundation of the perfect quality and unique properties of RUSTARK starch products is laid at the very first stage which is the selection of raw materials
The corn grain grown in the southern regions of Russia is used by RUSTARK in production process. This is not just a geographical reference: the generous southern sun, fertile soils, and optimal climatic conditions provide an ideal biological maturity of the cobs. As a result, the grain accumulates the maximum amount of valuable endosperm with a high starch content. Such southern grain has traditionally been highly valued for its physicochemical characteristics not only within the Russian Federation but also in many countries of the world, where it has been considered ideal for deep processing.
The company pays special attention to the quality and purity of each batch of grain.
The following strict multi-stage entry control system is applied at the company’s elevator’s complex:
-
Lab test: checking basic parameters (moisture, protein and fat content) and mycotoxins.
-
Organoleptic test: color, odor, and the absence of foreign impurities control.
-
Технологические пробы: тестовое дробление небольших партий для оценки выхода чистого зародыша и качества крупки.
Any batches with the slightest deviations from the exacting internal GOST standards are rejected. Only absolutely clean, calibrated and genetically homogeneous raw materials are allowed to be used in the production cycle.
This no-compromise approach to the selection and inspection of starting materials guarantees that all RUSTARK products are of high quality. The purity of the final starch, its high viscosity, whiteness, and the absence of off-odors directly depend on the quality of the original grain.
The reliability of this principle has been documented and confirmed: RUSTARK products regularly undergo independent laboratory testing and hold relevant certificates of conformity to international food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000). These documents serve as objective evidence of the purity of the composition, the stability of product properties from batch to batch, and the complete safety of RUSTARK starch for consumers.
