RUSTARK GENERAL DIRECTOR DISCUSSED ISSUES OF PROVIDING RAW MATERIALS FOR NEW MODIFIED STARCH PLANT AT THE MEETING WITH FEDERAL SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL PROGRAM (FSTP) FOR AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT AND NATIONAL SEED ALLIANCE (NSA) MANAGEMENT.

On November 20, RUSTARK plant was visited by Irina Vladimirovna Lavrentyeva, The Head of Federal Scientific and Technical Program for Agricultural Development (FSTP), and Igor Alexandrovych Lobach, Chairman of National Seed Alliance (NSA) Association Council. During the meeting, RUSTARK General Director Alexander Kiyatkin gave the guests a tour around the new modified starch production plant.

"We have built the most modern, high-tech complex, which will be launched in the second quarter of 2026 The new plant will produce over 50 types of modified starches that are now almost entirely imported from abroad. Today, the availability of our production facilities is over 85%. As you can see, all necessary equipment has been installed in the workshops, the lines are being laid and access roads are under construction", said Alexander Kiyatkin, providing a detailed overview of all construction phases and modified starch production processes.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to discussing RUSTARK current needs and plans for waxy corn for the period of 2026-2028.

Irina Lavrentyeva commented: "Today we are at RUSTARK and see the company's real need for a specific volume of waxy corn (something that's on everyone's lips following the announcement of a new modified starch plant launching). RUSTARK is an excellent example of how a grain processing business collaborates actively with breeding companies and agricultural producers. Together with colleagues, we are working on an important task of building market forecast and developing an optimal strategy for creating and cultivating waxy corn hybrids to meet processors' forecast demand. Furthermore, a medium-term strategy must be developed for all market participants including breeders, seed producers and agricultural goods producers growing commercial corn. We hope for success with companies like RUSTARK!"

Igor Lobach emphasized: "The most important thing is that this is the first time starch producers and breeders are working together on developing and introducing domestic waxy corn hybrids (with specific properties and a limited market). Furthermore, project participants are aware of the task and the need for collaboration, and they are ready for this challenging journey. I am confident this approach will produce positive results in the near future."
