RUSTARK is the only Russian company engaged in the deep processing of grain that possesses its own scientific research and development base in the field of starch and starch-based products. The Center’s main focus is on research and applied work to develop and introduce new natural starch-based ingredients that are in high market demand.

The Center’s team comprises highly qualified specialists from various fields of the food industry, including 4 Candidates of Science.

The Center operates its own research laboratory, equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory and pilot-scale equipment required for completing both theoretical and practical tasks. The laboratory studies food ingredients and develops recipes for new types of products, thereby contributing to the advancement of the food industry.

The Center's scientific and practical activities provide RUSTARK’s customers with solutions for complex process tasks, quality improvement, product line expansion, and cost reduction for finished food products.

Scientific community

RUSTARK’s R&D Center works in close coordination with leading Russian scientific organizations, such as the All-Russia R&D Institute of Starch and Starch-Containing Stocks, ROSBIOTECH, the All-Russia R&D Institute of Brewing, Beverage, and Wine Industries, and Kuban State Agricultural University, as well as foreign partners like VTR Biotech.

The Center's team members hold memberships in the Technical Committees of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology and actively participate in the development of industry-specific regulatory and technical documentation.

  • Development of proprietary recipes and adaptation of customer recipes to incorporate more efficient ingredient replacements
  • Process optimization based on technical specifications and customer-specific tasks

  • Laboratory studies utilizing over 30 analytical methods and world-class, state-of-the-art equipment
  • Optimization of pilot-scale development: pilot batches produced on in-house equipment in Skolkovo and production batches at customers’ facilities.
